“Discovery…in Plain Sight” A Rationale © CDR 2024 Reverse Osmosis and Water Conservation have been two of the subjects under study by both Taft Gaddy and Cliff Robinson separately and unbeknown to each other, subscribed to the principle of “Discovery… in Plain Sight”. For example, Taft Gaddy didn’t invent Reverse Osmosis. It was invented and implemented during WWII, before he was born. But oh yes, Taft did utilize that invention in developing the most quantitative and cost-effective means of Water Purification. And it has become a crucial part of our 21st Century Water Program!
The same was the case with Cliff Robinson in terms of Water Conservation. No, he didn’t discover the Law of Water Displacement. Nor did he discover the process of creating a water holding vessel…Both techniques were discovered centuries before Cliff was born. But yes, Cliff did combine them in developing the most quantitative and cost-effective means of Water Conservation. And it has become a crucial part of our 21st Century Water Program!
So, what do we mean by “Discovery… in Plain Sight”? We call your attention to Ben Franklin. Old Ben didn’t discover or create the kite. It is believed to have been invented by the Chinese around 500 BC. Nor did Ben Franklin invent the metal door key. It was invented long before he was born. Both inventions were in “Plain Sight”. But what Mr. Franklin did was combine those two inventions to prove his hypothesis, that Lightning was electrical… and the rest is history!!!
Similarly, we at The 21st Century Water Program utilized the previously stated above inventions and discoveries “in Plain Sight” to establish our Rationale. We believe the combination of Reverse Osmosis and The Emergency Water Conservation Program are ‘the’ one two punch that can revolutionize Water Management as we know it today!
